Movie Review: The Bikeriders
The movie isn’t what I anticipated it to be, the film is slower paced, but it does take you in a moving journey into the heart of 1960s biker culture and history.
The cast was great but a few did not shine, perhaps it is due to the somewhat shifting character development in the film. Stella performances by Tom Hardy and Jodie Comer but cannot say the same for Austin Butler and I would have also liked to see more from Michael Shannon and Norman Reedus’ characters. A focus on the connection between the riders and their bikes is missing, however I did enjoy how the story was told through interviews with Benny’s wife, with her femininity it really gives the film an overall authenticity.
